About TM Lewin
TM Lewis are shirtmakers with a long history. Established in the 19th century, the company still have premises in the street where Thomas Mayes Lewin founded the company back in 1898 - Jermyn Street in London.
Well-known by many within the City of London, the retailer became known from an early stage as pioneers in the field of shirt manufacture and design. As a result of these early successes, TM Lewin were established as suppliers to many leading organisations, including the British Army, the Royal Air Force and numerous universities. More recently, they provided the ties that were used in the successful London 2012 Olympic Games bid.
Known for their high quality of service, the move online must have represented something of a risk. With the chain of stores having expanded considerably in recent years (they have more than 60 stores in the UK and Ireland), they've been able to use their expertise to make a success of their internet expansion.
