Is there a more beautiful place to visit than Italy? The last time that I was in this beautiful country I was fortunate enough to visit some of the most beautiful locations that were on offer.
From the beautiful, rural scenery of Tuscany to the history of Rome and Pompeii, I found that this was a country with an enormous amount to offer. People ask me what my favourite place to visit was, but I always find it difficult to give an answer. The truth is that there is just so much on offer, so many unique experiences, that it becomes incredibly difficult to choose.
How can you, for instance, compare the spectacular medieval walled city of San Gimignano to the spectacles of Florence or Rome? Would any visit to Tuscany be complete without spending time in the great city of Pisa?
Although some would suggest that you need an enormous amount of time to really explore Italy, it's certainly possible to have a wonderful shorter stay by picking one region to use as your base.
